How We Spent Our Summer Vacation...part 2

Straight from Princess Camp, we left for Birmingham - there we continued to
celebrate Sophie's birthday, complete with Mee-Maw's homemade
chocolate cake! (A time-honored family tradition...) A new bike was definitely the highlight for Sophie, and she was so excited about her new helmet and pads that she wouldn't take them off most of the day! We also celebrated the 4th of July! Aunt Pammie made sure Sophie saw fireworks, though Will still didn't stay awake late enough to see the fireworks! (Maybe, next year...) Both kids loved eating homemade ice cream and Papa spraying them with the hose!

Then we left for the beach (Orange Beach, near Gulf Shores). We had a great trip
with the family, (with the exception of Aunt Tori and Uncle Derek. We missed them, but they were having an awesome time at  TPC
Kids'
Camp). At the beach, we continued to celebrate Sophie's

birthday (it was truly the birthday that wouldn't end...) and she received a new suitcase from Patti-Grams and Tato with a note about her upcoming trip to Chicago, including a visit and a doll from the American Girl store! Sophie had a blast crab-hunting each night with her daddy, and both kids had a ball on the beach! Apparently, both of our kids would like to be beach bums!

Sweet! Enjoyed reading about your summer. Becca has the same bicycle. :) It would be an honor to pray for your Aunt. What a precious woman.... she sounds like such a great lady!! I do hope she will be around much longer than the dr. may think.

You will have to update about school soon.
Becca has not transitioned like I had hoped she would.
If she had Jana or Christy at PCA this year, I do feel she probably would be in her own little 'heaven'. lol She is definitely a smaller environment kind of kid. Maybe some day God will have us there again. :)
