The Unlikely Carolers

Image
On Christmas Eve, Aunt Hope decided to take Sophie and Winnie Christmas caroling. We can't imagine the sounds that the unsuspecting neighbors were greeted with that cold afternoon! We suspect that the armloads of treats they came home with were anything and everything our neighbors could find to get them to stop singing! Either way, they had a great time, and Sophie was thrilled with her first Christmas caroling experience. Meanwhile, there was a forgotten caroler left at home! He even had his ipod ready!

Christmas Memories

Image
We've jokingly said that we've lived the movie Four Christmases around here the past week! It seems each day from the 23rd on brought with it some sort of celebration! We've opened way more than our share of presents, eaten crazy amounts of good food, and visited with tons of family! We've stayed up super-late, played lots of Wii and board games, and even snuck-in a little after Christmas shopping! Of all the fun times we've shared over the past week, I am most thankful for the opportunity to watch my children interact with the family that I love so dearly. It takes a time of year as special as Christmas to bring together all the people we love at once, and I always treasure watching my children building their own relationships with the people I love most in the world. These are a few of the moments I would like to burn in my brain - a few of my favorite Christmas memories.

Our Family Christmas Photo

Poor Aunt Tori. She had the job this year (as she has so many other occasions) of trying to help capture our family Christmas photo. I shudder to think how difficult capturing our soon-to-be family of five will be! I think I better learn photoshop! Three out of four... Thanks Soph! This one was actually me! Neither kid looking! Me nor Soph have our eyes open! This one is on Will! Neither boy decided to cooperate here! And the winner is... Yes, I am aware that Soph's eyes are barely open, but look at our options! This is the money shot under the circumstances! Thanks Aunt Tori for your patience and help! Bet you can't wait till next year!
